In the off season, the packers made a harsh decision to get rid of nick Collins and aquire Demarco Murray. With his poor performance week after week in a need to win situation, the packers are looking to trade him next season. With James Starks and Alex Green, he is not an obligation. With an expected 97 progression on Demarco Murray, the Packers are looking into ridding the team of him and possibly charles Woodson for a goof corner. A big interest for them next season is the sensational Patrick Peterson. But that's the 2013 season trade, not this season.
With it being very apparent that the packers defense is big yardage and turnovers, being in the lower section in yardage and #4 in points allowed. When the Packers don't click, bad things happen. Against the lions, Demarco Murray generated less that 50 yards on over 15 attempts, a career low. Offensive Captain Greg Jennings also dropped 2 passes on 3rd down, while offensive key Aaron Rodgers threw 4 PICKS!!! The defense allowed 3 field goals and a wide open megatron TD pass to kill the game, as the TD was on 3rd down and the lions were on the 45 area of their field. If defense hadnt made mistakes on 3rd and long, the packer would've went on 6-0 winning 14-0.
Some NFC members may be wondering what the packers #1 priority is. The answer is obvious. RIGHT SIDE RUN GAME. it's the most abusive spot. Rob Ninkovich has to constantly play the 4 man front and be a pass rusher due to Ryan Picketts shitty play. Ryan Pickett will either be moved to DT or get the good 'ole free agent title. A high priority to the packers is to draft the Best DE in the draft. That is why I'd love to trade for 1st round picks. Obviously Brian Robinson and Clay Mattews can't do all the run, and Dj smith is too young to focus on run stopping enough. With poor performance by Desmond Bishop, he will also be traded and replaced by Dj Smith soon.
